Robert Decker

Robert always had a knack for art. When he was a young child he could be found at the dinner table painting and drawing, much to his mother's chagrin, as it was usually right before the dinner table had to be set. That creative spark grew into a flame right around the time he melted his air hockey table working on an art project for school. Robert took every art class he could while in High School and then attended Kent State University where he obtained his BA in Studio art, which lead him to embark on his journey as a painter.

For many years he worked the canvas and eventually he considered himself to be a landscape painter. During that time he became a member of a small co-op gallery and sold works and ran workshops in Greenville, SC as well as having his work shown in other venues in the area. He also held workshops for the Greenville County Museum of Art and was one of 14 local artists invited to participate in their first ever plein-air painting event.

Then on a bright and sunny day in October of 2016 he married the love of his life and moved to Atlanta where he enrolled at SCAD to fulfill his childhood dream of drawing and illustrating stories.

For the bold and adventurous types, stay tuned, as this text will soon be replaced by a resume of Robert's artistic achievements! Will it be short? Will it be long? Come back soon and find out!
